Year 4 had a wonderful day of learning about Poland for our school geography day today. We began by using atlas skills to find out about Poland then children worked in pairs to carry out further research using laptops. In groups, children used their research and worked together well to produce some super posters. In the afternoon, Mrs Szleszynska told us all about Polish traditions on Christmas Eve. We tasted some wonderful pasta, cake and dumplings prepared by Mrs Szleszynska and two of our Polish parents. Mrs Szlesznyska taught us how to sing 'Jingle Bells' in Polish and finally she taught us a traditional Polish dance which we performed to Year 3. Thank you very much to Mrs Szlesynska and the parents who prepared food for us - what a treat it was!
