Bob was created for the purpose of the great egg parachute launch! Year 5 were given the challenge of making a parachute to protect a hard boiled egg as part of our forces topic in Science.

A reflectful worship about good and bad choices.
We have been plotting coordinates to create a polygon and then measuring the perimeter of them.
We had lots of discussions which encouraged us to draw and measure accurately. The kite was causing a big debate!
We have been continuing to investigate air resistance. We made Hoop Gliders. Some of us modified them - we added more hoops, took one away, changed the size of the hoops and also the size of the Hoop Glider. We made sure we only changed one thing to make sure it was a fair test.
We have begun creating our mechanical toys! Our classroom turned into a workshop! Watch this space for our finished products.
