Y5 Time in the Tree Tops

Y5 Climbing and Clambering
Today at Borwick Hall, Miss Conroy’s group have been climbing and clambering. We had beautiful weather to climb Warton Crag in the morning and then in the afternoon we used the climbing wall and had a go at abseiling. We were all ready for our tea tonight!
Y5 Fun on the Water
Mrs Lowe’s group had a day of water activities at Borwick today. We went canoeing, built fires to make ourselves hot chocolate and built rafts. We all had a great day and got very wet!

Y5 Author Visit
Today, an author called Sean Perkins visited school. He did a workshop with us called Pencil case Personification. We created characters and stories by giving personalities to classroom equipment. We had great fun and made up some really imaginative stories.
Year 5 Celebration of the Word
On Wednesday we led the whole school in our Celebration of the Word. We were reflecting on The Our Father and the seven petitions it contains. We enjoyed leading this time of prayer and reflection and we were very pleased that so many of our parents and carers came to join us.
