Celebrating St Peter

Year 1 have been reflecting on the life of Saint Peter. We have thought about his friendship with Jesus, then we made stain glass windows using paper and crayons. In the centre of our window are the keys to heaven that Saint Peter holds.

Year of Mercy Icon

Today we handed over the icon statue of The Sacred Heart to the children of St Bernadette's School as it continues on its pilgrimage around the Catholic schools in the area. We had a short liturgy together and then passed on the statue to a small group of Year 6 pupils.

Cafod workshop

Year six had a great morning learning about Life without taps. We played a simulation game to imagine life as a family and the difficulites they face daily. All the class enjoyed the workshops and learnt how lucky we are.

Fantastic recounts

Wow! More fantastic writing, this time from Year 1 who have retold the story of Jesus calming the storm. The children had written the whole story independently and used full stops and capital letters as well as exciting words. I am very proud!
