Today, Year 4 joined Year 3 for a visit to Leighton Hall. We had a wonderful day in spite of the wind and rain! We learnt about how an orchard is developed and the role of bees in pollinating the flowers to create fruit. We collected apples, cut them up, 'bashed them' and pressed them to make apple juice which we drank at lunch time. We also toasted some apple covered in brown sugar over a fire. It was delicious!
