This week we have been learning all about bonfire night. We learnt about Guy Fawkes and how people stopped him from hurting the king on the 5th November 1605. We also learnt about how people celebrate. We saw pictures and videos of fireworks, bonfires and sparklers. We even got to try some toffee apples that people like to eat on bonfire night. We also created some bonfire art by using pegs and cotton wool. We explored the different texture that the cotton wool made and we used our fine motor skills by using the pegs. We now know that firefighters keep  safe around bonfires and that if we're ever in danger, we call 999 to speak to the firefighters.
