What can you do with a cereal box to help children learn this summer?
You will need: cereal box, pen, scissors
- On a piece of card ask your child to write a selection of numbers between 1-100.
questions you could ask:
- What number is that?
- How many tens does that number have? How do you know?
- What is one less? What is one more?
- What is ten less? What is ten more?
- Is it odd or even?
- Can you count up to that number?
- Can you order the numbers from smallest to largest?
These numbers can then be used to play hide and seek at home, pairs or snap.
