What can you do with a cereal box to help children learn this summer?

You will need: cereal box, pen, scissors

- On a piece of card ask your child to write a selection of numbers between 1-100.

questions you could ask:

  • What number is that?
  • How many tens does that number have? How do you know?
  • What is one less? What is one more?
  • What is ten less? What is ten more?
  • Is it odd or even?
  • Can you count up to that number?
  • Can you order the numbers from smallest to largest?

These numbers can then be used to play hide and seek at home, pairs or snap.
