Year 4 had a wonderful visit to the Mosque on Dallas Road in Lancaster today, to support their learning in RE. We met Mr Jayousi who introduced us to the Mosque and showed us how wudu is done to prepare for prayer. Mr Jayousi showed us how Muslims pray and explained the importance of praying five times each day. He also told us all about the beginnings of the Muslim faith and answered many of our questions about the Five Pillars of Islam. We are very grateful to Mr Jayousi for his warm welcome and the time he spent with us.
