Today, we had our May Procession. We started together in the hall where Mrs Holt and some Year 6 children led us in reflecting on a Gospel story where Mary asked Jesus to help when they ran out of wine at a wedding feast. We thought about people we would like Mary to ask Jesus to help and as we processed to the Cathedral, we prayed the Rosary and held those people in our hearts. In the Cathedral, our head boy and head girl placed flowers on a statue of Mary. The children who made their FIrst Holy Communion this year led reception class children in placing flowers around the statue of Mary as a sign of our thanks. Children in Year 6 led us in prayers of intercession they had written and then helped us all to sign the Hail Mary. It was a very prayerful occasion and it was lovely to be joined by some of our parents.
