Advent is a wonderful, busy time in school. On Monday, we celebrated the beginning of Advent with Mass with Father Steve in the Cathedral. In school, children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 are busy preparing for their Nativity Play and Key Stage 2 are practising carols for the carol service. On Friday, we have our Christmas Fair. In the midst of all this business, it is good to take time to reflect on what we are preparing to celebrate - the birth of God's own son, Jesus, who shows us the depth of God's love. Everyday in every class, we are taking five minutes to just 'be still' and reflect on this wonderful gift.
