On Monday this week, we welcomed children from the other local Catholic primary and secondary schools to the Cathedral to celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes who is the patroness of our diocese. The children led us in reflecting on the joyful mysteries of the Rosary and they laid flowers before a statue of Mary on which were written their prayer intentions. On Tuesday, our school choir helped with singing at the parish lunchtime Mass to celebrate the special feast day.
