Reception had a great afternoon visiting Mrs Lee's Pancake Cafe! After learning about the season of lent and why it is celebrated we thought it would be a great idea to celebrate with our own pancakes! We learnt that Jesus went into the desert for 40 days and 40 nights and fasted. That's why people give things up for lent. The day before, people used to use up the food in their cupboards to make pancakes. That's why we have pancake day. We enjoyed eating our pancakes and choosing our toppings. We also had lots of fun drawing pictures of Mrs Lee flipping the pancakes!
