Today, as we are learning about the conventions of play scripts in English, we took our learning outside to use the playground as the backdrop for acting out some play scripts. We have many budding actors and actresses in Year 5! Well done, Everyone!

We have really enjoyed finding lots of descriptive vocabulary to write weather poems.

Some of Year 6 popped up to Christchurch to decorate a tree as part of their Christmas Tree Festival - they took with them messages of peace from each year to share peace and joy from our school throughout the world.

To give Year 6 a treat after their Bushtucker Trials, we all enjoyed testing, comparing, designing and making our own chocolate bars!

As you can see, everybody was very busy making their perfect treats!

Year 6 tested their Survival Skills on Wednesday - taking a brilliant Bushtucker Trial - with snails, crickets, brussels sprouts and cockles  all to taste, it went down a real treat!

Today we had a very cold walk up to the park! We got there and saw it was very frosty but this didn't stop us having a great time! Today in science, Year 4 explored how pitch is created and how sound vibrations change in frequency. We then made different kinds of pitched instruments. A noisy but fun lesson!

What a wonderful surprise we had in Year 5 today when one pupil brought in this wonderful model of a Viking longboat he has made at home. This has obviously taken a lot of skill, time and patience - well done!

All the children swapped classes today as part of the maths carousel. In Year 1, we looked at nets of 3D shapes and had a go at making them!

Year 6 have been working hard all week learning the roles of the various different organs in the human body!
